Games |
This is the earliest of the Westwood Studios bitmap font formats, from when they were still called Westwood Associates. It is a simple 1-bit-per-pixel font without header data, which always contains a 128-item list of 8x8 symbols. This makes its file size always exactly 1024 bytes. Since it has no header, there is no real way of automatically identifying if a given 1024 byte file is not a font of this type.
Font specifics
The font is a series of 128 blocks of 8 bytes, where each byte represents one line of pixel data. The lowest-value bits are the lowest indices on the line. Since it has no header of any kind, these specifications are completely hardcoded unless the games themselves are edited.
